After working in startups in the early 2010s, I started Oak Snow Consulting to build iOS and Web apps for clients. I did this for a couple years while adjunct teaching at a community college before taking a job teaching computer science full time at the college level. Today, I am an assistant professor at Champlain College, a teaching college in Burlington, Vermont. While Oak Snow Consulting is primarily the vehicle for my own indie software projects, I am still open to client work. If you think I might be a good fit for your project, email me.
I am also the author of four books on programming, including Dart for Absolute Beginners (2014), Classic Computer Science Problems in Swift (2018), Classic Computer Science Problems in Python (2019), and Classic Computer Science Problems in Java (2020). You can find out more about the Classic Computer Science Problems series at classicproblems.com. I am active in the open source community. You can find my projects on GitHub.
I'm a hobbyist blogger and podcaster. My blog is mostly composed of book reviews, short essays, and thoughts on software technology. Podcasts that I co-host include Kopec Explains Software and Business Books & Co. Thanks for checking out my indie software projects and don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re so inclined.
